Ignoring Evil Is Not Christian Science

To ignore evil in the hope that it will go away is not Christian Science. To suppose that it is, is to fall into a snare set by mortal mind, which fosters this widespread misconception in an effort to forestall its own exposure and destruction.

Achieving the Most Good

There is in the human mind an attitude that perhaps does most to obstruct the deeper study a Christian Scientist needs to devote to his religion if he is to develop more of its healing potential for himself and society. It is the attitude that one can know a truth even though that truth is not animating his conduct.

Expressing Completeness

While on a motor trip, the writer stopped for gas at a filling station in a rural area. The attendant asked the familiar question, "Shall I check your oil?" When a negative answer was given, he thoughtfully replied, "A fellow should never be in such a hurry that he doesn't check his oil.
