Obedience to divine law ennobles human character, because obedience expresses the nature of man in God's image. One realizes how important obedience is when he sees that man's true individuality has appeared only as God's law has been revealed and obeyed.
Christian Science is a religion of proof. We can know this Science only as it is proved and made practical in our lives.
The author of the first chapter of Genesis knew the scope of God's perception to be limitless, and he put his thoughts into these words ( Gen. 1:31 ): "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
It is customary for a political party at the beginning of its campaign to adopt a platform or program setting forth its aims or objects. Thus the party indicates where it stands.
Man is a capable being because, as the image and likeness of God, he reflects the infinite capacities of the infinite Mind, which is God. In proportion to the spiritualization of thought our capabilities are perfected.
Spirit is the source of all power. Therefore the only real and enduring power is spiritual.
The compassionate and warmhearted long to restore happy associations and normal health to those who have lost them. They deeply desire to bring the moral wanderer back to the innocence of former days, to return sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf.
" I Thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes" ( Matt. 11:25 ).
Probably all of us have opened the door of a welcoming household at some time in our lives and have suddenly felt the balm of hospitality and affection in that friendly atmosphere. No condemnation greeted us there, but only understanding and approval that made us feel that we had found a heaven of refuge and peace.
The use of vitamins to supplement and balance the food which is prepared for men, animals, and plants has grown to large proportions. It is almost impossible to read a newspaper or listen to the radio without having the subject thrust upon one's attention.
