If someone says he's a good carpenter, we would expect to see evidence, perhaps in the way he frames a house or hangs a door. If someone tells us that he knows how to plant a vegetable garden, we might expect to see plenty of fresh cucumbers or tomatoes on the dinner table! No matter what the endeavor, whenever there's a claim that something can be accomplished, we naturally anticipate results.
