WHAT OPENS THE DOOR TO HEALING .

A GUIDELINE, NOT A DEADLINE In her conversation in the May 2007   Journal ["Singing God's  Song," p. 14], Dee Lewis mentions Mary Baker Eddy's prediction "If the lives of Christian Scientists attest their fidelity to Truth, I predict that in the twentieth century every Christian church in our land, and a few in far-off lands, will approximate the understanding of Christian Science sufficiently to heal the sick in his name.

DON'T FRET ABOUT THE FUTURE It was Friday afternoon, when I felt an emptiness inside that I'd never felt before. I just sat down in our boarding-house (since I had no class that day), and the thought of my best friend came flooding into my mind.

COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN I just want to say that I am finding the February Journal absolutely fantastic! The day after its arrival, I had read it almost from cover to cover. I just couldn't put it down, and I shall go back to it again and again.

ACCOLADES ON CROSS AND CROWN January's "Cross and Crown" Journal wowed me. The multi– facted ideas shared by every letter writer, testifier, Q&A responder, and article writer sparkled like precious gems! (Then again, every issue shines!) After I e–mailed a friend, giving my "take" on the entire issue, page by page, I realized that detailing its treasures amounted to nothing but words.

CHRISTMAS GIFT OF HEALING IDEAS What a beautifully wrapped gift the December Journal is. I couldn't wait to open it.

CONFIDENT DESIGN I want to applaud the changes in the Journal's design over the last couple of years. The use of color and design, often instead of photographic illustration, gives the magazine a very "whole" feeling.

LEAVE THE LIGHT ON Although I have just begun to read the October issue, I won't delay to thank you for it. William Ansley's example of the home in Topeka that kept a light burning all night for the travelers on their way West was just wonderful ["Awake to Love," p.

THANKS FROM AFRICA Max Polatin's article "Got air" in the August issue of the Journal [P. 52] is simply wonderful! We in the Nairobi Sunday School wish to thank him for reminding us, "Is anything too hard for God?" His skateboarding pictures look so brave, and he explains that his lack of fear is because his courage does not come from himself but because he is only reflecting the qualities of his Father.
