Letters to the Editor
Thanks from Africa I thank our Father-Mother God wholeheartedly for the Frontlines articles concerning freedom in the February issue of the Journal. They give wonderful insights in how to pray for that extremely rare commodity.
War and peace As the world is considering how we should approach Iraq, what unique timing was your interview with Peter Ackerman as chair of the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict in the February Journal [pp. 7-9].
On evolution I enjoyed Jeffrey Hildner's article "What Science and Health says about evolution" [January]. It's interesting to note that Charles Darwin and Mary Baker Eddy both had domineering fathers, suffered illnesses for much of their lives, and were recipients of revelation who further evolved their revelations throughout their lives.
A magazine for all faiths I'm currently training to be a volunteer hospital chaplain, and I recently shared the November issue of the Journal, which focuses on prayer, with the staff at the chaplain's office where I work. Last Tuesday we were treated to a special luncheon to honor hospital and hospice chaplains, which was attended by the president and CEO of one of the area hospitals, as well as clergy from the metro-west churches [in the Boston area].
Appreciates drug abuse issue I would like to thank the authors and you for the articles in your October issue on the topic of "Love reaches and heals drug abuse. ".
The Journal crossing denominational lines I am a practicing Roman Catholic, but find your publication a wonderful companion in my spiritual readings (I have read Science and Health many times). I enjoy the Journal' s new, more diverse articles on spirituality.
September's CD insert I received the CD in the Journal, and to listen to all the wonderful voices reading unpublished writings of Mary Baker Eddy was like manna from heaven. As I listened, I shed tears of gratitude for Mrs.
Response to Annual Meeting issue I loved your focus issue on the 2002 Annual meeting & Conference of The Mother Church. I was one of the participants and have loved sharing what I learned with friends and church members.
To take a look at animal magnetism .
Christians in Palestine Before I leave for my third trip to Jerusalem and Palestine, I want to bring to your attention an error in the April Journal. Dorothy Maubane ["In behalf of peace"] writes, "The truth is that there are not many minds and powers, but only one Mind, who is God, and whom Jew, Palestinian, and Christian alike all worship.
