Man's Dwelling Place

Because man dwells where Life eternal springs, no power can still his glad song's upward wings; no dream of death can frighten or enthrall the cherished child of the eternal All. Because man dwells in Truth's immortal sphere, he is forever safe from pain and fear; his perfect state of being is secure in changeless Truth, that ever will endure.

All Is Well

When sin and fear seem rampant in our midst, We should not heed the tale these tempters tell, But take the lesson of the Shunammite, And know, with steadfast joy, that all is well. For as we calmly hold to what we know, The light of Truth replaces darkened thought; We see the wondrous law of God's design, And man the perfect work that God hath wrought.

Easter

From out the realm of Love a song is born Within all hearts receptive to the sound. Today—as on that distant Easter morn When white-winged angel thoughts were newly found; When stones of hate and fear were angel-moved And man as God's reflection stood in light; When Life beyond the mortal grave was proved; When Christ was seen with more than mortal sight— Today the song of jubilance and prayer Re-echoes Love's triumphant harmony To demonstrate that Love is everywhere And can be seen by those with eyes to see, And heard, through Mind, in constant resurrection, By those partaking of the Christ's perfection.

Of Such Is the Kingdom

We went to see the Master yesterday. We heard him tell of God's dear love for all And watched him heal the sick folk where they lay.

No Prison for Man

Doors open wide and bands are loosed When prayer to God is made; When joyous praise to Him is sung, No heart can be afraid. No circumstance can fetter man, No evil can decree That man be chained when, girt with Truth, The child of God goes free.

So Thin the Veil

Here in the heavens of uplifted thought, Beyond the veil of matter, is your home— Your kingdom home in Spirit and in Truth. So thin the veil of matter, self, and sin That childlike prayers, breathed from the heart of love, Will bring you angels guiding on your way.

God's Thoughts

Each morning, as the drowsy shades of sleep Fade from my eyes, Thy thoughts attend my rising: Joy fills me that another day shall keep Thy tryst of radiant hours. Thy truth advising Each smallest step, remolding human plans To the fair outlines of celestial will.

The Time Is Now

Let us act now. Why do we idly wait? Do we think God will grow, that we are late In seeking Him, our ultimate defense? God hears us now, unchanged omnipotence.

"Go, and sin no more"

Despised, impure, and shamed of men, They brought her to the Lord And sought his judgment on a sin Their human laws abhorred. "What sayest thou?" Their clamor rose And swelled with priestly pride.

At Midnight

At midnight Paul and Silas prayed And sang loud praises unto God; All bands were loosed, and unafraid They walked again on freemen's sod. Prisoners, at your midnight hour, Wherever two or three agree, Pray, give thanks, and sing with power— The same Love hears and sets you free.
