Testimonies of Healing

Some Years Ago, I was deeply grieving over the loss of a loved one. Up to that point, I'd been able to find comfort in the Bible and Science and Health.

When My Wife And I Married, we alternated each Sunday in attending my church and the Christian Science church where my wife was a member. Gradually I began to understand the deeper spiritual meanings of the Bible passages I heard read at my wife's church.

 This author was healed of addiction to drinking, drugs, and nicotine when he was introduced to Christian Science.

Because the author recognized her spiritual origin and being, she was able to overcome the whole "Eve package" that predicts suffering to women through menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.

OVER FIFTY YEARS AGO, I married a Christian Scientist. She was delighted that there was a Christian Science church near us, and she soon joined.

I HAVE BEEN A CHRISTIAN SCIENTIST all of my life and have always turned to God for healing of any problem. I've been healed of poison ivy, colds, and injuries from sports.

WHILE PLAYING in an intramural football game at graduate school, I had just slid feet-first in an attempt to catch a pass thrown from behind me. Suddenly a player on the other team landed on my ankle with his full weight.

IN THE YEARS FOLLOWING the passing of my first wife, feelings of doubt crept into my spiritual outlook. My life had become a vague compromise, with little of the sense of purpose and religious practice I'd been committed to previously.

I WAS RAISED AS A CHRISTIAN in the South, a church-going region of the United States. As a child, I was taught to pray to God and attended Sunday School and church every Sunday.

A FEW YEARS AGO, I had such terrible pain in my side that I thought I was going to die. When I've been unwell in the past my natural reaction has always been to pray for myself.
