MY PARENTS BECAME students of Christian Science when I was an infant. Since they relied on Christian Science for all our health needs from that point on, I have no memory of any other type of healing method during my childhood. I do, however, have memories of wonderful healings through prayer alone.
In the ensuing years, I have had many healings, including the healing of injuries from automobile collisions. In another instance, disfigured bones in one of my toes moved into place after continued prayer. I have also had much proof of God's constant care supplying all our needs while rearing two children.
One especially memorable healing occurred during a safari in Zimbabwe with my brother and his family several years ago. Prior to leaving on this trip, I had experienced trouble when swallowing, and a lump had appeared on one side of my neck. Although the lump had subsided somewhat, the problem with swallowing became worse after we arrived at our first camp.
