CHRIST JESUS' FINAL DIRECTIVE TO HIS DISCIPLES—"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations"—was accompanied by the assurance that such teaching would forever be animated by the Spirit that gave authority to his own ministry. "Lo, I am with you alway," he promised them, "even unto the end of the world" (Matt. 28:19, 20).
Two thousand years later, it is the same animating power, the same divine influence, or Christ, that infuses the mission of the members of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship with the spiritual authority to awaken human consciousness to the presence and power of God.
For Christian Science branch churches around the world, the privilege of hosting a Christian Science lecture is accompanied by another privilege—that of supporting and protecting the lecture with the prayerful affirmation of a profound spiritual fact: Nothing can interfere with either the communication or reception of God's Word.
