I LOOKED AT MY CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR MAY. IT READ:
Thursday: depart Melbourne
Friday: arrive in Los Angeles; fly to Christian Science
association [in mid-western US]
Saturday: Christian Science association
Sunday: London/Frankfort
Monday: Bangkok/Sydney
Tuesday: return to Melbourne
At the time, my husband and I were living in Australia, and when we left our home for this trip around the globe, I was not feeling my best. In fact, by the time we reached Los Angeles 20 hours later, I was very unwell. The reason for our travels was important to us. We planned to attend our Christian Science association, a one-day meeting of pupils with the Christian Science teacher who gave us Primary class instruction—a twelve-session course on Christian Science healing. It equips the student to systematically and effectively practice the Science of healing by fanning the embers of love in the student's heart for a world that needs and deserves such healing.
