Testimonies of Healing

After a long period of silence I feel impelled to testify to the manifold blessings which my dear ones and myself have experienced through Christian Science. About a year and a half ago my wife suffered with a serious disease, the cure of which was doubted by the physicians.

Regarding enclosed testimony, am pleased to be able to vouch for its veracity with the exception of the name of the disease, which should be carcinoma, as the doctor's prognosis was founded on the malignant nature of that disease. I saw it soon after the climax and advised as to the proper dressing, and saw it twice later during the unusually rapid disappearance of all manifestation.

I thank God every hour of the day for what He has done for me, and am grateful to our dear Leader for showing us the way to the Christ-healing through Christian Science. In the spring of 1911 I was feeling very poorly and quite depressed, was losing flesh, had no appetite, and there was a markedly run-down condition of the system.

I have much reason to be grateful for the blessings I have received through Christian Science. I was undergoing confinement in an asylum for the second time, and suffering from melancholy brought on by the drink habit and a violent temper, when the subject of Christian Science came under my notice.

For many years I have received blessings without number from Christian Science, so lovingly unfolded to us by our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

The wonderful healing power of Christian Science was manifested to me about seven years ago, when hope for relief from a miserable physical condition had almost been abandoned. I had become afflicted with paralysis as a result of overwork, worry, and stomach trouble, and had reached a condition where I could walk only with great difficulty.

It is now over three years since I first became interested in Christian Science, and I love to tell of what it has done for me. At the time when a friend of mine told me of Christian Science and urged me strongly to try it, I was in very poor health and had been sick for a number of years.

I would join others in giving thanks for the wonderful healing which came to me last year through Christian Science. I had suffered for twenty-nine years with varicose veins in a severe form; and although I was under medical treatment continuously, I experienced no healing, but rather went through great suffering.

Recently , while reading the Sentinel and Journal, it came to me forcibly that I was losing an opportunity when I failed to add my testimony to the many others regarding the great blessing that Christian Science is to mankind. A few years ago I was in Arizona in very poor health.

The following testimony is given with the hope that it will help some one who is searching for the truth. When Christian Science was first brought to our home, I was suffering from rheumatism.
