Testimonies of Healing

I am a homeopathic physician. My health broke down under the strain of a large practice, and I was obliged to give it all up, with no hope of ever being able to resume it.

I took up Christian Science in February, 1907, at which time I was healed of appendicitis. All my friends insisted that I should have an operation, but some members of the family who were Christian Scientists advised my trying Christian Science treatment.

Every opportunity to testify to the healing power of Christian Science is to me "indeed a privilege. After many years of suffering, during which time I had the best treatment that materia medica affords, I found myself in a most hopeless condition.

It is with a grateful heart that I want to tell what Christian Science has done for me. Four years ago I was taken with a severe nervous illness, according to the physicians' statement.

In April, 1908. I was taken sick with what was diagnosed by a physician as typhoid fever, and was removed to a hospital.

It is with a feeling of gratitude that I write this testimony to the efficacy of Christian Science. Prior to my healing I had suffered with a number of complaints, such as stomach and bowel trouble, also nervous debility for many years, which was followed by a general breakdown, with lung disease.

In 1904 my mother and I planned to spend the summer with my brother, who was living in South Dakota. During the year I had been very busy with one of the branches of my profession, that of trained nurse, and felt I needed the summer's rest.

I was led to Christian Science through a lady with whom I was acquainted, and heard of this wonderful truth for the first time in a Wednesday evening meeting. I took great interest in it and asked a kind neighbor a few questions.

I feel it is my duty to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the good which has come to us in Christian Science. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude to God, and to our Leader, Mrs.

Believing it a duty which I owe to God because of His infinite goodness extended to me in a time of great need, I send this testimonial, with the prayer that it may reach many who are seeking a Saviour as was I. but who are groping in darkness for the truth that makes men free.
