Testimonies of Healing

AS A THIRD-GENERATION student of Christian Science, I now enjoy seeing my children and grandchildren blessed by the truths that Mary Baker Eddy revealed, and I feel a need to write this long overdue testimony. Nine years ago during the week of Thanksgiving, my mother and my daughter and her family were visiting.

THREE SUMMERS AGO, my husband and I went with our son to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico where we had an enjoyable time and did a lot of walking in the heat. A couple of days after arriving home, I became weak and unable to enjoy any food.

SEVERAL YEARS AGO when I was a college professor I was scheduled to teach a 9:10 a. m.

A FEW YEARS AGO, before tennis became my sport of focus, I regularly enjoyed getting up early for an easy-paced four-mile run. My daily route took me up and down a few hills, by a highway, behind the fire station, and through a beautiful wooded area.

ABOUT 18 MONTHS AGO when I was working as a Christian Science nurse, I went to stay for a few days with someone who needed care 24/7. The day before I was to be relieved on this case, I was helping the patient get up out of bed in the morning, and strained my back.

WHEN I WAS a newlywed, I made an appointment with a doctor's office to obtain a birth control device. Upon being examined for this purpose, the doctor informed me that he had discovered an internal growth.

The author wrote out a list of the health-giving qualities that were part of his spiritual identity and accepted nothing but God's supremacy.

WHEN MY SON was a baby, I began having dizzy spells. The difficulty appeared to be with my heart and escalated to where I was sometimes experiencing severe chest pains and other troubling symptoms.

IN 2005, I GRADUALLY became aware of an abnormal growth on the top of my head. It enlarged to the point that friends and acquaintances noticed it.
