Testimonies of Healing

It is with a heart full of gratitude to God that I testify to the perfect health, peace, and joy I have known since I accepted Christian Science. Like many stubborn people, I refused to investigate its teaching for more than seven years, thinking it to be some cult of a superstitious nature.

Christian Science has been such a help to me in my work as a teacher in the public schools, that I desire to express my gratitude. It has given me an understanding of the Bible which enables me to keep well and strong, my mentality is clearer, and my joy in my work is increased.

I can vouch for the correctness of the testimony sent by my wife as to the healing of her knee. The healing has been permanent, no ill effects whatever remaining, or appearing since, although it occurred over a year ago.

The following testimony may help others to realize the ever-presence of divine Love in times of accident or sudden emergency, and the wonderful efficacy of Christian Science. Some time ago I fell very heavily on my knee on an unevenly bricked floor, and the pain was so intense that I could not move.

The understanding of the governing Principle of the universe and man, in connection with certain business events, brought to my consciousness, through a late experience, the reliance which may be placed on God's law, made available to human need through Christian Science. At the death of my husband it was found that an insurance policy, made out to one who in the interim had died, had not been transferred to me as I had supposed, for I had misunderstood my husband's directions and had failed to attend to his instructions in the matter.

I feel the time has come for me to acknowledge through our periodicals the healing power of Truth. Several years, filled with health and activity, have come and gone since I was lifted out of invalidism and what was well-nigh despair.

I am glad to say that Christian Science has done me much good. About eighteen months ago I was a wreck in more than one way, for I had come through a great sorrow, besides which my health and strength had failed me.

Eleven years ago I had the misfortune to injure my back severely while playing in my father's ice-house. An abscess formed, and I steadily grew worse until January, 1903, when I was taken to a hospital in St.

It has been my desire for several months to have others know what Christian Science has done for me. I had been a great sufferer from rheumatism for many years, it being considered hereditary in my family; I had, in fact, despaired of ever being well again.

I would like to give expression to my gratitude for the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. During a period of thirty years, possibly more, I suffered with severe and painful cramps in the legs, which in the course of years so increased in severity as to become almost unbearable.
