Testimonies of Healing

The author experienced healing as she "prayed to understand that the only transmission or communication was directly from God to man...and that God does not send disease."

As a lifelong Christian Scientist, I want to express my gratitude for the many healings I have had through the study of Christian Science. One particularly outstanding healing took place a number of years ago.

I want to say how grateful I am for a lifetime of healing experiences in Christian Science. I can’t imagine life without Christian Science.

One day several years ago, I was out running on a macadam path around a lake near my home. My young daughter was running with me, and I was encouraging her to keep running, as well as enjoying the beautiful scenery on what was a sunny fall day.

This testimony is shared in gratitude to God, and to Mary Baker Eddy for bringing the laws of Christian healing that Christ Jesus practiced into focus for all of us. During the winter of 2016–2017, there was an outbreak of flu and respiratory infection in part of the state where I live.

Only one more day before the start of school! The children were so looking forward to it, especially our youngest, who was starting kindergarten and excited to get to join her older brother and sister in being at school all day long. We had saved this day as a fun “getting all the last-minute things for school” day, and all of us were anticipating a great time together.

I am so deeply grateful for Christian Science, and the wonderfully powerful influence it has had in my life. In fact, God and Christian Science are what I treasure most.

I would like to thank everyone who has publicly shared a testimony of healing in Christian Science. It can’t help but bless its hearers and readers, although we don’t always know how.
