Quite a large number of subscriptions to the Journal expired with the Aug. and Sept. issues. Our friends are invited to renew promptly. Subscribers cannot do without the Journal (so they assure us by the hundreds) and the Journal cannot do without subscribers,—proving the old law of reciprocities still in force. There is great awakening in the outside world on the subject to which the Journal pages are devoted, and the large and constantly increasing additions to its subscription lists prove that the interest is accompanied with wise judgment to select the false from the true, the real from the counterfeit, among the mass of publications flooding the country, purporting to advocate mental therapeutics. Let the friends of Christian Science everywhere rally to the aid of a world lying in sickness and sorrow, by putting our little messenger of glad tidings into the hands of the people.
