Editors "Christian Science" Magazine:—...

From the July 1885 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Editors "Christian Science" Magazine:— Why is it we hear so much about the Christian Scientists being mostly women? It might with equal truth be affirmed that all the religious bodies of to-day are composed of "mostly women," and the inmates of the various prisons and penal institutions are "mostly men." If the statement proves anything it is this,—

Not she with trait'rous kiss her Saviour stung;
Not she denied him with unholy tongue:
She, while apostles shrank, could danger brave;
Last at his cross, and earliest at his grave.

"Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for Him, and Me shall give thee the desire of thine heart."
