"God created man in His own image."
It would seem, if we believe this statement, that in order to know ourselves we must have a true conception of God. Jesus says God is Spirit, and we should accept his assertion. Now it follows that if we are made in the "image and likeness of God," then we, the "You" and " I," are Spirit. The physical body is nothing—has nothing in common with Spirit; we must be absent from the body to be present with the Lord.
