"A Lesson in Rhyme"

From the February 1887 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Forbid them not," said the Master
"But let them come unto Me."
And so they clustered around him.
Meek peasant of Galilee.

They missed not the pomp or glory
To older hearts so dear;
For they heard the cadence of Heaven
In his tones so strong and clear.

They saw the wonderful city,
Whose streets were of glistening gold :
For they caught the beautiful vision
Of one Shepherd, one flock, one fold.
