I wish to add my testimony to the value of Christian Science...

From the February 1904 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I wish to add my testimony to the value of Christian Science. My sister was benefited by it so much that I began studying it, and the spiritual awakening to me was wonderful. I had my daughter treated for pain that several physicians said could not be cured without an operation, but the second treatment brought relief, and she has never taken drugs since. Another daughter was healed of an abscess in the shoulder-joint in a week's time, but . the most wonderful demonstration to me was the birth of my baby. In previous confinements I had suffered from almost everything that comes to mortal woman, but these ills were all met in Science, and labor was of such short duration that I could hardly believe it was over, and one treatment was sufficient to overcome the after pains and sore breasts. I wish all could know what a great blessing Science is at such a time. My heart is filled with thankfulness to Mrs. Eddy for showing the way out of suffering and sin, for I sinned when I knew it not. until I learned how to watch the door of thought. I have had the privilege of class study and I cannot but feel what a great benefit it has been to me in showing me how to take care of myself and family. The way grows clearer every day as the Christ life is revealed to me. After years of unsatisfied spiritual longings I thank God that I have found the truth that makes me free.—
