I wish to tell of what Christian Science has done for...

From the April 1904 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I wish to tell of what Christian Science has done for us, or tell what I can, for I could not begin to tell all. When I first came to this truth I had been a constant sufferer for thirteen years. I tried doctors and patent medicines till I was tired of them, and then I gave up and did nothing for several years, having given up all hopes of ever being well again. When I sent to Christian Science for help, I had so many complaints that I was ashamed to mention them all, for fear they would think my mind was disturbed.

Everybody thought I had consumption, as a sister had passed on with it and I had every symptom, also rheumatism, and constipation of the very worst kind, having been troubled with it for thirteen years. I was so stiff and tired when I got up in the morning that I could hardly move, which troubled me very much, as I had a family of four little boys and was trying to do my own work. After one treatment I was like a new woman, every symptom had left me; I could do a big washing in half a day besides all the other housework, and I was not conscious of having done anything.

There is no end to the good it has done for our children, one of whom was quickly helped for croup whereas one other had passed on with the same trouble under materia medica.
