It is with a heart full of happiness and peace, and of love to God and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I gratefully add my testimony to the thousands of others which have already been given by those who have been raised up from a life of suffering and sorrow and sin into the glorious light of the understanding of the omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience of our Father-Mother God.
I did not take up Christian Science for my own personal healing, but rather because its teachings appealed to me as absolutely reasonable, logical, and beautiful; and I can honestly say that during the two years and a half that I have been studying, and doing my best to live up to the rules so wonderfully and lovingly given to us by Mrs. Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I have been better in health than I had been for several years before. Whereas before I had suffered from dyspepsia, which caused a great sense of weakness and frequent attacks of great pain, during the last two years and a half I have not had a single recurrence of the pain, and can eat anything without any fear of bad consequences, besides feeling stronger and better in every way.
During this time neither my husband, myself, nor our little girl have used any material remedy of any kind; in fact, we got rid of all the drugs we had when we made up our minds to depend upon Truth to make us free, and upon Truth alone, and we have never had cause to regret it. We have had cases of measles, chicken-pox, what seemed to be a very sharp attack of lumbago, and colds, all of which have yielded quickly and surely to the power of Truth.
