On several occasions our readers have been reminded that no money, or orders for literature should be sent to the editorial department. We again desire to call attention to this, and at the same time would request all our contributors to write on one side of the paper only, and always to leave sufficient space between the lines for possible corrections. In the case of testimonies, the full name and address of the writer must be given, and the testimony must be signed in the handwriting of the one who testifies. For the benefit of inquirers, it is also desirable that testimonies bear the endorsement of another Christian Scientist who is familiar with the facts of the case. All articles and testimonies are carefully examined, in their order, and if found available will be published. A considerable delay should not be taken as evidence that a contribution has been found unsuited to our use. It may simply be awaiting its turn nevertheless, good articles are sometimes left out for lack of space. The aim is to publish those articles which best meet the need of the hour and in every case, clearness and directness of statement and considerate brevity should be sought for.
In preparing articles, the high standard of Christian Science; namely, perfection, should be kept in view; and if at the first attempt the writer does not at least approximate this, the schoolboy's motto, Try, try again, suggests what may wisely be done before the article is submitted for editorial judgment. Nothing of real value is ever accomplished without an honest purpose and earnest endeavor, and an imperfect expression gives unsatisfactory evidence of either. We should do every least thing in obedience to the unswerving demands of Principle, and this habit once formed will bring into our present experiences something of the order which is said to be Heaven's first law.
