I had been in poor health for fourteen years, gradually growing worse, and for the last six years of that time was a great sufferer. My case was differently diagnosed by every physician. The last one, who treated me for four years prior to my healing in Christian Science, frankly told me at the end of that time that he did not know what was the matter with me. He said he had made a special study of my case, but that his medical skill was exhausted, and he advised an operation which he thought would cure me, if I lived through it. However, when I said I would take my chances without it, he said he would not allow his wife to undergo such an operation. When I insisted on knowing just what he thought, he said it was only a matter of a few months when I would be in my grave or the insane asylum.
This was in March, 1894. The following June I went to Salt Lake City, thinking only to prolong my life until my little girl was a little older. There I was persuaded, very much against my wishes, to try Christian Science. In three weeks I was healed and am to-day strong and well. I was healed of a disease for which the doctor used to give me the most powerful remedies. This treatment finally became ineffective. I was also healed of rheumatic gout and the internal trouble which my last physician called ovarian. I have great occasion for thankfulness to God for Christian Science.—Aspen, Col.
