WHAT IS RELIGION?

From the February 1906 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I and my Father are one.

And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them . . . Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.—Jesus.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.— James.
