It is five years since I became an adherent of Christian Science, and during that time it has been proved to me that the Principle of Christian Science is an ever-present help, a deliverer from all troubles. We have experienced many glorious demonstrations in our family, consisting of myself and husband and four children. I was healed in a few treatments of a uterine complaint from which I had suffered for a number of years.
Furthermore, I owe to Christian Science the life and health of my husband and of our youngest boy, who is now six years old. While I was on a visit with him at the home of a Scientist friend, he was playing with her children in the adjoining room, and fell through the window, which had been left open, from the second flight down into the cemented yard. My friend, who was" an eye-witness to the occurrence, immediately held fast to the thought that divine Love is ever present and that no harm could come to God's child. When we reached the boy he was conscious and was trying to get up alone, although he had sustained some severe injuries, including a dislocation of the hip. A kind Scientist immediately took up the work for him, and within ten days he was completely healed of all these conditions.
Our eight-year-old boy was healed of an attack of throat trouble in three present and a few absent treatments. Our oldest boy, twelve years old, injured his arm in December. My husband wished to have the arm bandaged and had a physician make an examination. The latter stated that several bones of the hand were involved, but the child was perfectly healed through Christian Science and not the slightest stiffness or weakness was left. My aged mother, too, has often been helped through Christian Science treatment. Among other things she was healed of a very severe attack of illness in four treatments, for which she is sincerely grateful.
