In love and gratitude to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, the interpreter of the inspired teachings of Christ Jesus, I wish to tell of some of the benefits which I have received through Christian Science. It is over four years since Science found me, in a deplorable condition physically as well as mentally. I had ailments of many years' standing,—chronic stomach trouble, rheumatism, and fainting spells, of which I had a constant fear, for they were beyond description. I had almost lost my belief in an all-merciful God, and I did not know where to turn for help.
At that time Christian Science was brought to my notice, and I shall never forget the eventful moment when I perceived that an all-loving Father is ever with us. What a revelation! All sorrow and worry was forgotten. Christian Science is indeed the fountain of Truth. It has brought harmony to me; everything is changed for the better. I cannot describe the happiness that has come to me through this truth. I can only exclaim with the psalmist, "Bless the Lord, O my soul"! My one aim is to live Christian Science, not in words only, but in deeds; loving God more and my neighbor as myself, and obediently following all our Leader's teachings."
Words cannot express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science. I am also deeply grateful for the benefits which I have received through class instruction. I have seen many wonderful healings in the past year, such as the disappearance of a birth-mark; the complete cure of a little grandson, who was struck in the eye by a stone, causing a dreadful condition; but the eye was absolutely healed, through divine Love, in less than twenty-four hours. For all this and many other blessings I am very grateful.
