I have been interested in Christian Science for a number of years, and daily breathe a prayer of thanksgiving for the coming to me of this life-giving truth. I have been blessed in many ways, and as my last demonstration has convinced me more than ever of the all-power of God, I want to give it to hungering humanity. In the winter of 1910-11, I became conscious of a cold attacking my lungs. I tried to help myself, but not wishing to cause any disturbance in a community where the truth is so little known, I called upon a Christian Science friend to help me. After two days I seemed to be getting worse, so she advised me to write to a practitioner in New Orleans. I did so, and in less than twenty-four hours I could scarcely realize I had been ill at all. In a few days all symptoms of the trouble had disappeared.
