I have been so greatly benefited by the teachings of Christian Science that I would indeed be ungrateful were I not to make public acknowledgment therefor. I first read Mrs. Eddy's book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," out of a curiosity which was awakened by the unfavorable criticism of it by my teacher in the Sunday school of another denomination. From the very first I was impressed with the wisdom contained in the book, and gradually the truth of its statements dawned on my consciousness. Since that time, now over five years, I have depended entirely on the teachings of Christian Science as my guide toward right living, and while there have been occasional times of physical or mental distress, these conditions have always been overcome, either through my own understanding or by the help of a practitioner.
I find that in trying to live in accordance with the rules of Christian Science I have been able to overcome to a very great extent a very sensitive and self-conscious disposition, and know that in the measure I am able to realize God is the only Life, Truth, and intelligence, will this condition of thought be corrected. For the spiritual uplifting and calm trust in God which Mrs. Eddy's writings have enabled me and many others to enjoy, I am most grateful. — San Francisco, Cal.
