I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and what it has done in my behalf. While following my occupation as a bricklayer, I slipped on a wet plank and severely injured my ankle. It was with the greatest difficulty that I managed to get home, and the pain was so intense that I decided to call for the help of a Christian Science practitioner. The following morning the ankle was still rather stiff, but all pain had gone. I went to my work, and had been there for an hour or so when I completely forgot that my ankle had been hurt, nor have I felt any pain from it since.
I am indeed grateful for the little understanding I have gained through the study of Science and Health, which has helped me more than once in my work, giving me such a sense of security and a greater desire to do right because it is right. During the nine months that I have been looking into this new-old teaching it has wrought wonderful changes in our home. Where discord prevailed, harmony reigns. I feel and know I am a better man since I became interested in Christian Science. The desire to do right I always had, but since I began to read the text-book and other works by Mrs. Eddy, that desire has grown greater. I attend the Christian Science church and I know that I am being helped in many ways from its teachings.
Again I would express my gratitude and thanks for this help, and most of all for that noble woman, Mrs. Eddy, who has placed this heaven-sent blessing within the reach of all.—Rochdale, England.
