I have been thinking for a long time of writing my testimony. Several years ago I was suffering with a chronic stomach trouble of thirty years' standing. One day I had a very severe attack, and something seemed to say that I should try Christian Science. I got right up and went to see a friend who was a beginner in this great work. She advised me to get a copy of Science and Health, and I did so, with the result that I was healed, although two doctors had given my case up as incurable unless an operation was undergone.
Since then I have been healed of many ills. At one time something was moving about over my right eye like a spider's web, but after studying that wonderful book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, it disappeared. With the help of a practitioner, I was also healed of catarrhal trouble of the throat and head. The ailments have never reappeared. It will soon be six years since I first knew of Christian Science, and I have never had any need for medicine since. Although I am now sixty-nine years of age, I can do almost any kind of work.
I am surely very thankful to God, and I am likewise grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the blessings I have received.— Walnut Ridge, Ark.
