In March, 1910, I called a Christian Science practitioner to my home to give me treatment for varicose veins. These enlarged veins began to show first about forty-five years ago, and seemed gradually to become worse as I grew older. When I called in the practitioner, I was suffering a great deal of pain, and it was hard for me to walk, even with a stick. After the first two treatments I seemed to get worse, and the large vein all the way up the leg became hard and knotty. I received, I think, seven treatments in all, and the healing was realized. In about two or three weeks I could get around again without inconvenience, and in a few months all signs of the trouble which had been there so many years had practically disappeared; there was no bursting of the veins and no discharge of any kind.
In November, 1911, I again called on the practitioner to treat me for enlarged veins around my ankle. I suffered from these as I had from my leg. I had five or six treatments and was then told that the work was done and I was healed. This was proved true, for in a few weeks I was free from the suffering, and that ugly-looking vein had also disappeared. The healing has been permanent, for there has been no return of the trouble. I am very thankful to God, also grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who by her discovery of this great healing truth has brought health and happiness to unnumbered thousands.— Chicago, Ill.
