For thirteen years I was very much afflicted nervously, and during the first few years I had to go to a sanitarium twice. While there, an abdominal fever set in; and though I was dismissed one year later, I was not actually restored, for during the following period of about twelve years the trouble asserted itself for six months every year. The physicians whom I consulted afforded me a measure of relief but no permanent help, and this made me feel very unhappy and downcast, especially as I was almost incapacitated for work.
Early in 1914 my attention was called to Christian Science, and I put myself under the care of a practitioner in Heidelberg. Through the assistance of this lady, who made me acquainted with the nature of divine Love and Truth, I am today perfectly well, and working is to me a joy. Then, too, I look like a different person; I have been made all over, as it were. My constant endeavor will be to gain ground in Christian Science. I give thanks unto God, and wish to express my deepfelt gratitude for Mrs. Eddy and the beautiful teachings which in Christian Science are presented to the world.—Mannheim, Germany.
