Testimonies of Healing

[Translated from the German]

My most earnest desire is that this...

From the November 1916 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My most earnest desire is that this testimony may prove the means of leading some one who is weary and heavy laden, and who is seeking deliverance from inharmonious conditions, to the way of Truth as found in Christian Science. For many years untold blessings have come to me through its teachings. They are so numerous both in a spiritual and in a physical way that space would not permit me to tell of them all. Almost unbearable pain, caused by an intestinal trouble, was what led me to seek Truth. A relative gave me the address of a dear Christian Science practitioner, who took up work for me in such a faithful manner that I was freed from the pain in about two weeks' time.

I have been married for about ten years, and during that time a consecrated Christian Scientist has lent me her support whenever a need seemed to arise. I have been freed from influenza, sick headaches, an abdominal complaint, and other ills. During the first year of our married life I had a serious illness, but four weeks later my condition was perfectly normal. Truth had won the victory over error. At the birth of each of my three children I have indeed experienced the ever-presence of divine Love. There was not the slightest disturbance; in fact immediately afterward I felt as if nothing had occurred, and I would be able to get up after from four to six days. My children have been healed of hernia; measles and eruptions were overcome in a short time, and we are daily experiencing new blessings through Christian Science. It is my most sincere desire that I may progress upon the way of Truth and be deemed worthy to be known as a Christian Scientist.

Glory and praise be to God for all His love! I think of our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, with a sense of deep gratitude for having discovered for us the way leading unto Truth.—
