I had asthma ever since I can remember. Every remedy I heard of was tried, but with only temporary relief, and I often suffered so much that a physician would have to be called. Seven years ago a friend advised me to try Christian Science, and I did so. In three weeks I was able to sleep lying down for the first time in over twenty years. Since then I have had two slight attacks, but they lasted only a few hours.
I was also a hard drinker, in fact a drunkard. Although I tried to stop using liquor, I kept getting worse, and finally lost my place of business. Later I went to work for others, but could not hold my position. Of all this I was healed in Christian Science after one treatment. At the same time I was cured of the tobacco habit, to which I had been a slave since I was thirteen years old. I have not had the slightest desire for either tobacco or liquor since I quit.
