When I came to Christian Science...

From the April 1917 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When I came to Christian Science for help I was a nervous wreck. Six months had been spent in two different sanitariums, where treatment was received from four physicians, also from two specialists, but without any benefit. I could not eat or sleep, and the doctors, as well as my friends and relatives, had given up hope of my ever being well again. For all this I am grateful indeed, but much more so for the spiritual uplift received, and for a religion which can be utilized every day of my life, no matter where I am.

Many opportunities to test the allpower of God have come to me; and I am so thankful to know He is a God of love, always. I want to live so as to prove the sincerity of my thankfulness to God for this beautiful truth, and for our Leader, who gave it to us as she received it.—
