It is with a great sense of thankfulness to God our Father and to Christ Jesus the Wayshower, as well as gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader, that my testimony is given. I began the study of Christian Science over eight years ago, owing to the illness of my mother. The practitioner impressed upon me the importance of being obedient to Truth's demands, and every day since that time I have read the Lesson-Sermon aloud to my mother.
How true it is that if we are faithful over a few things, we shall be made rulers over many things! Hemorrhoids, heart disease, bowel disorder of forty years' standing, rheumatism, bladder trouble, and many more ills have been overcome, and my mother, who is now seventy-nine years of age, is more active and in better health than she has been in many years. A growth for which I had been treated materially before coming into Christian Science, has disappeared through the power of Truth, as well as severe headaches. My husband, who had been an inveterate smoker for thirty years, has lost all taste for tobacco, and boils from which my son suffered annually have vanished into their native nothingness.
I am truly grateful for all these proofs of the efficacy of Christian Science; but best of all is the sense of peace, quietness, and rest which comes to all through the faithful study of the Bible and the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.— San Francisco, Cal.
