Several years ago, when broken in health and thoroughly despondent, I was lovingly led to Christian Science. A prominent physician in this city had told me that unless I underwent an operation to rid me of an abnormal growth of eight years' standing, I would be an invalid for life. Rather than go through this ordeal, I accepted the conclusion and became very despondent. Shortly afterward, when my husband and the only two relatives I had passed away, there seemed to be nothing left to me in the world, and I became a mental and physical wreck.
It was then that a friend spoke to me of Christian Science, and very quickly I grasped the fact that in God is our health, strength, and intelligence, and that in Him, as the apostle says, "we live, and move, and have our being." I began to see things in a new and brighter light; the abnormal growth disappeared in five absent treatments by a Christian Science practitioner, and I have been hale and hearty ever since. Where formerly I could not do any work, or exercise for more than five minutes without resting, I am now able to do my daily routine of work and to walk for hours without feeling the slightest fatigue.
I am truly thankful to God for all the happiness and blessings which have come to me through Christian Science, and also grateful to our revered Leader for this wonderful truth, which has been such a great help to thousands.—montreal, Quebec, Canada.
