I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I was taken one morning with a very hard chill, and called a practitioner; but there seemed to be a complication which caused me to become fearful, and as there was much opposition to Christian Science in the home, I did not respond to treatment, though it was continued for five months.
Instead of improving, my condition grew worse until I was helpless, my limbs being drawn so that I could not get my left foot to the floor or close my hands. The bowels refused to act, and for seven weeks with one exception there was no relief. In this time I had five practitioners, all of whom had in other cases proved that God heals the sick; and at last it was proved to me, for the help came after I had been confined to the bed for six months. The physical healing is only a small part of what this experience means to me, for to-day I am attending to my housework, aide to walk any distance, and better than I was for several years before my illness.
I only hope this testimony will encourage those who feel they are not getting along fast enough, for "God is no respecter of persons," and we read in the Bible that it is the Father's good pleasure to give us the kingdom.— Joplin, Mo.
