With deep gratitude to God for the many blessings which my family and I have received through Christian Science, I give this testimony. Several years ago when Christian Science was mentioned to me, I refused to believe it, being ignorant of its teachings; nevertheless through intense suffering I was compelled to turn to it, as materia medica was of no avail and could give me no relief. After undergoing two operations on my nose, and after months of very painful treatments with little relief, I decided to give up medical treatment, and turned to Christian Science with the happy result of being healed in one treatment.
I became greatly interested in the teachings of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began to study its meaning very earnestly; whereupon I was healed of skin disease, bowel disorder, throat afflictions of every description, which I had been subject to for many years. I wish to state that I am exceedingly grateful for the spiritual uplift, as before turning to Christian Science I was a very discontented, ailing, and unhappy woman. To-day I can thankfully say I am enjoying perfect health. I also wish to express my thanks for the Lesson-Sermons. I am also thankful for the Sunday schools, as my children are deriving great benefit therefrom. My heart goes out in overflowing gratitude to the dear gentlewoman, Mrs. Eddy, whose life was so pure and unselfish that she could perceive the truth and give it to me and mine and the world.
Words are inadequate to express how grateful I am that I can pray to an ever loving Father who answers all my prayers and right desires, and who is an ever present help in trouble; and I wish to say that Christian Science is the most wonderful thing that can come to any human being. For all these blessings I am indeed grateful to God.— New York, N. Y.
