For countless benefits which are mine through sharing in that unspeakable gift, Christian Science, and for the enrichment and regeneration of thought received through our periodicals, I acknowledge with deep gratitude my indebtedness to God and to our wise and loving Leader. Often in the study of the Lesson-Sermon or while reading the literature I feel that treasures beyond price have been placed in my hands.
In a business experience of nine years, going out daily in all kinds of weather and always doing a considerable amount of walking, there was an absence of only two weeks in a very stormy winter on account of ill health. For the help and protection thus experienced I can never be sufficiently thankful. It was part of the responsibility of my position to carry large sums of money from the bank every week, and the fear was sometimes voiced that this might not be a very safe thing to do, as besides taking the trolley I had also a rather unfrequented walk, but Christian Science removed all sense of danger and no loss occurred.
In every way I have found Christian Science indispensable. Whenever accounts seemed to get into a tangle, I was enabled to work quietly for the solution of the problem. Once certain important papers were missing. I made a thorough search, relying as I thought upon Mind for help, but when at the end of a week they had not been found I knew that I must do better thinking. About an hour afterwards on going to another part of the building, where I had worked several weeks before, I went directly to a table, opened the drawer, and there found the missing papers.
