Testimonies of Healing

I must express just a little of what...

From the September 1920 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I must express just a little of what I feel for what Christian Science has done for me. At a time when I felt that I was not long for this world, I was led by that "still small voice" to ask for something to read on Christian Science. I had never known anything but to make fun of what I thought Christian Science was. I had been an invalid for several years, and had given up all hope of ever being well again, as doctors had said nothing could be done for me. But such is the power of Truth that through reading the Christian Science Sentinel I was healed. That was six or seven years ago, and I have been a well woman since.

I have not the words to express what I feel for that grand woman, Mary Baker Eddy, for the good work she has done, in giving us the new-old truth that opens the prison doors and sets the captive free, and for the two faithful students who were so patient with me, and helped me so much on the journey from materiality to spirituality. I am striving each day to live my gratitude. I am so thankful for the Sentinel and Journal, and for our Lesson-Sermons. They are a daily food we could not do without. I have had many wonderful healings, and have also been able to help others, for which I am truly thankful. I thank God daily that one was found pure enough to show us the way to this healing truth.—
