As I have been studying Christian Science for many years. I think it is high time that I give my testimony to the world, through our periodicals. I have received wonderful benefit from reading the testimonies, and I want to help others as I have been helped. I was healed through Christian Science treatment of a very irritating form of stomach trouble, after being told by the doctors that I would never be well. They prescribed a diet and said that if I lived according to their prescription I could be tolerably comfortable part of the time. My hopelessness turned me to Christian Science and I was healed in one treatment. I have also been healed to a great extent of a bad temper. I have found by experience that sin results in suffering and a repetition of sin results in a repetition of suffering. It is like the healing of a burn; although you have had a burn healed completely if you put your hand back into the fire you have another burn to heal.
I cannot close this testimony without a word for our periodicals. It seems to me they have never been better than they are now. Words are not equal to express my gratitude for the many blessings received through the various authorized works of Mrs. Eddy.— Portland, Oregon.
