A PRAYER

From the February 1922 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear Father-Mother God, help me in grace to grow,
To follow in Thy wond'rous way and only good to know,
To feel Thy loving presence near
To heal all doubt and still all fear;
Oh, make the path before me clear.
Dear Father-Mother God.

Dear Father-Mother God, oh, may I patient be
To work through clouds of hate and wrong and only good to see.
And being loving, tender, meek,—
My only wish Thy w ill to seek,—
To help the brother who is weak,
Dear Father-Mother God.

Dear Father-Mother God what wilt Thou have me do
To show in deeds, as well as words, the love I have for You?
I'll try each day to do my part.
Obey Thy laws and cleanse my heart.
Then I shall see Thee as Thou art.
My Father-Mother God.
