Since beginning the study of Christian Science I have received many blessings. I want to speak of a beautiful healing from sprained ankle. I struck my foot violently against a sharp corner of a marble stairway. The pain was intense; but after doing some work mentally, as taught in Christian Science, I was able to limp about for some time. Later, however, the ankle became very much swollen and inflamed. I was unable to walk. The pain became so intense that a Christian Science practitioner was called in and worked for me for some time. The pain was relieved; but the fear that I would be unable to attend to my work was paramount; and so, to human sense, the healing was not accomplished. Later, I took a taxi home, as I was unable to walk, and went to bed. At seven o'clock the practitioner was asked for absent treatment. At seven-thirty I fell asleep; awaking at ten, I found that the pain was much relieved, and that I could walk a little. Again going to bed, I did not awake until the next morning, when I found myself perfectly healed. I feel assured that had I been under medical treatment, I would have been laid up for weeks, as I have seen such cases last that length of time and longer.
I am very grateful to God that Christian Science was brought to my notice. I am very grateful to the revelator of the truth to this age, Mary Baker Eddy. I am grateful to our loving practitioners, who not only help us to overcome our beliefs of sickness and sin, but help us to a higher understanding of this demonstrable truth, which enables us to help ourselves and others, in the way the Master taught.
