Christian Science has been to me the Comforter in sorrow and the healer in sickness. I came to Christian Science seeking healing for my youngest child. He had been a delicate child from birth, and was subject to severe attacks of bronchitis, which kept him confined to bed and to the house for several weeks at a time; but since studying Science he has been enabled to attend school regularly, and is stronger in every way. I know that this improved condition is the result of the teaching he receives in the Christian Science Sunday School; and I am most grateful for this teaching. He was healed of measles in twenty-four hours simply by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This healing took place soon after we commenced to seek this truth. He was also healed of very badly inflamed eyes; and there has been no return of this condition.
Before I heard of Christian Science I had been having medical treatment for heart weakness. I was advised not to exert myself, and not to do any strenuous work; but thanks to this wonderful truth, all those seeming discords slipped away like the clouds they were, and strength was manifested instead of weakness.
For the physical healings I am deeply grateful; but most of all I thank God for the quietness within, even in the midst of earthly trials and sorrows. For the pure, unselfish life of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I feel reverence and love; and my prayer is that I may grow in grace and understanding of this truth, so that I may be fit to become a member of our church. I am deeply grateful, too, for the loving help of our faithful practitioners. Through the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner I have been lifted above a sense of overwhelming anger and resentment, due to an injustice done to me. I see now that this experience only made me cling closer to our Father-Mother, God. I feel I can never tell half the blessings my family and I have received through Christian Science.— Glasgow, Scotland.
