Fourteen years ago I was healed of the tobacco habit in one treatment in Christian Science. Since that time I have not used tobacco in any form, nor had any desire to do so. This experience furnishes evidence of both the efficacy and the permanence of Christian Science healing.
Last winter I was attacked with plural pneumonia. The symptoms were particularly severe; and there were times when dismay and fear seemed almost overpowering. However, through the loving ministrations of a Christian Science practitioner all error was dissipated; the disease was healed, and I was lifted completely out of the mental miasma which at one time seemed about to engulf me. I have experienced other physical healings in Christian Science, and have in many ways had manifested to me, and to my family, the demonstrable truth enunciated by Mrs. Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
To Jesus of Nazareth the Wayshower, and to Mrs. Eddy, who gave to the present and all future generations the clear exposition and explanation of the works of the lowly Nazarene and their spiritual significance, I am indeed grateful; nor am I unmindful of the purity of thought and consecrated effort which enabled the practitioner to bring the light of Truth to my consciousness.— New York, N.
