During the years that I have known of Christian Science, many blessings have been received, and for some time my desire has been to express my gratitude through the Journal or the Sentinel for the great joy which this beautiful truth has brought to me.
My daughter, now fourteen years of age, has had nothing but Christian Science treatment for her help since she was four years old. She has been healed of whooping cough, and of weak eyes that caused her to lose several days from school each year until the past four years; and many minor ailments have been overcome. Nine years ago she was healed of chills and fever, and has had no trouble of that kind since. This demonstration has meant much to me, as I was young in Christian Science and the only Scientist in the town in which I lived. I had absent treatment for her, and when I put aside self and reliance on personality and placed my entire dependence on God, the healing was instantaneous. The last chill was the most severe.
My husband and I have had many healings,—mental, physical, and financial. Many times the way has seemed dark, and discouragement persistent; but I have proved, over and over again, the omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence of God. On looking back over the trials that have come to us I cannot conceive how we would have fared without this wonderful teaching. Eight years ago it was necessary for me to find employment. After making several attempts without success I felt discouraged. Then I ceased making plans, and realized that I was in God's care, that the way would be shown me and I would be guided in this, as in any other problem, by divine Mind. I was soon offered a position that I wanted; and since then I have not lost a day from my work, as telegraph operator, on account of sickness. I am in better health and happier than I have been in years.
