Having read many helpful testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals, I should like to add mine, in the hope that it may prove helpful to others.
When our baby was born, the doctor said her digestive organs were all wrong; and for four months and a half she could take no food at all, just having albumen water and whey. She steadily lost weight each day, until nobody expected her to live from day to day. A friend recommended Christian Science treatment. We knew nothing about it, but asked for absent treatment, with the result that she digested a normal four and a half months old baby's food at once, and gained rapidly each day. We were so thankful for this healing that we attended the services at church on Sundays and the testimony meetings on Wednesday evenings, and the older children went to Sunday school. We bought a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and through our studies our eldest daughter, who every previous winter had been continually in bed with pneumonia or some other chest trouble, has been entirely healed, and friends are astonished at the improvement in her.
As a mother, I can find no words adequate to tell of the benefit we all derive from the study of the textbook. One sees anxiety, illness, irritability, financial difficulty, and the numerous worries of the home all fade away when one applies even a small knowledge of the truth. As a result of our baby's healing, quite a number of friends are becoming interested in Christian Science and have had beautiful healings. So to live that we may help others is truly to show gratitude for all the blessings we have ourselves received.— London, England.
