It is a great privilege to speak of the blessings that have come to me since I have been trying to get a better understanding of God through the study of Christian Science. In our home life there is joy; we now have happiness and peace instead of worry, melancholy moods, and discontent. Christian Science has also brought good health, which we did not formerly enjoy.
At one time a boil began to manifest itself on my nose; but with the help of a Christian Science practitioner it disappeared almost immediately. At another time, a boil appeared on my jaw. I can truthfully say that it caused me no pain whatsoever; in fact, I could not be sure of its exact location without looking into the mirror. These boils were entirely healed in a few days without leaving any scar. This same trouble tried to manifest itself on my foot in an eruption that seemed quite ugly; but with the help of a practitioner this was also overcome in a few days, and from it I experienced no pain or discomfort other than a slight swelling. In a few days I could again put on my shoe and go about my work as usual.
More than three years ago the socalled law of heredity tried to fasten on me that which had every appearance of, and what I believe would have been diagnosed as, a cancer. This appeared near my knee, and the roots seemed to be quite deep in the flesh. This was completely healed in Christian Science with the aid of a practitioner. In less than a month all traces of it had disappeared, and there has never been any sign of a recurrence.
